Dr Yasmina Serinel is a Respiratory and Sleep Physician and Senior Clinical Lecturer at Macquarie University. She graduated from Sydney University Medical school in 2004 and undertook a clinical research fellowship in sleep medicine at the Woolcock Institute before completing a PhD through Sydney University with an NHMRC scholarship. She was awarded the Young Investigator Award for her work in obstructive sleep apnoea and hypertension and has publications in high-ranking international journals. Her main area of interest is in sleep disorders that cause daytime sleepiness such as sleep apnoea, narcolepsy and idiopathic hypersomnolence.
